OUR HISTORY
In 1990, Imolyn Whitehill was appointed by Overseer Bishop Hunt to pastor a group of people. We sold the building on Evergreen, so we had no building and services where held in the living room of Pastor Whitehill for a year while we looked for a building. Shortly after that, Bishop Vincent Howel from Full Gospel allowed us to use his building on Puritan after their morning worship. We met at Full Gospel from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM for about a year and a half while we continued to look for our own building.
During our waiting and praying, God provided our current building at 14625 Greenfield. This building was an office building with individual rooms. We started off in one of the rooms because we were very small. As time went by, we converted the individual offices into our main sanctuary.
The Lord blessed us and we continued to grow numerically. Our local church became one of the fastest growing churches in the organization in Michigan. As we continue to grow, we developed and trained pastors and bishops. Pastors were sent to Melvindale, River Rouge, Royal Oak, Jackson, and Atlanta.
Our main focus was on youth and children. We had a great anointed choir that travelled throughout the states and out of the country. We now have a powerful outreach ministry where we are meeting the needs of the people in the community with food, clothes, and most of all the word of God.
Our vision: Every believer is a leader
